How it works
From the first call to the last check
Most claims follow these steps. Some take a few months; a contested one can take a year or more.
- 01
Step 1: A free first talk
In person at the nearest office or by phone. We ask what happened, what you've been told and what you've signed.
- 02
Step 2: We take over the paperwork
We file the claim or answer the denial, and from then on the insurer talks to us, not to you.
- 03
Step 3: Treatment and checks
We push for the care your doctor orders, and for disability checks to arrive on time.
- 04
Step 4: The medical evaluation
When your condition settles, a doctor rates what's left of the injury. We prepare you for that exam.
- 05
Step 5: Settlement or hearing
We go over any offer with you line by line. If it isn't fair, we take it to a judge.
How our fee works
You pay nothing up front and nothing by the hour. In a workers' comp claim our fee is a percentage of the benefits you receive, within the limit the law sets, and it's paid only if you receive benefits.
Some case costs, such as copies of medical records or a doctor's report, may be paid from your benefits or settlement. We tell you before we spend on any, and every cost shows on your final statement.

Start with step one
Call the nearest office or send a few lines. We call you back the same week, in English or Spanish.
